Burnout is real yall, but we have some great tips to avoid burnout in your business. We aren’t just marketing mavens we are also small businesswomen. So, we feel your struggle!
Take Time for Yourself
We know, easier said than done, but taking time to recharge your batteries is an absolute MUST for your business. Self-care is not selfish it is a necessity. When you are ready to go to bed, put down the phone. Stop checking emails, responding to texts, and reviewing tomorrow’s agenda. All this is going to do is make you keyed up and restless. Save all of this for the morning when you can jumpstart the day with a fresh mind.
Even if you are taking time for yourself weekly you still need to get away every few months. Take a long weekend, or even better a week! Unplug from your business and go do something that sets your soul on fire. You will return to your business a better human. We promise!
Set New Goals Regularly
Goal setting isn’t just constructive for achievement it’s a part of the creative process. You should be regularly evaluating your business. What is working, what isn’t? How can you improve? What is the next big idea? Get your team involved. Feed off of one another’s energy! You would be board so quick if you wore the same outfit every day, so why would you do the exact same thing in your business every day? Mix it up and keep it fresh!
Note: this is not a suggestion to be inconsistent or irregular in your business. Simply an encouragement to stay current.
If you swing by our office on any given day, you will be greeted by the smell of locally made candles, the musical styling of her majesty Taylor Swift, and at least half a dozen friendly unicorns. That’s just who we are! If you have to spend eight hours (or more) a day in a space, you better love it! We find our clients are put at ease by our genuine presentation. If you are an accountant who loves clean lines, base colors, and symmetry, you do you boo! Your business is a representation of YOU, so just be real.
We hope you are thriving in your business. However, if you are starting to feel some burnout and you need to borrow our brains (and enthusiasm) just call! As Kim Possible would say, call me, beep me, if you want to reach me!
PS. We don’t actually have beepers because it’s not 1980 and Maggie wasn’t alive yet. Just shoot us an email at email@example.com
